JORDAN (7 Days)
Plan the perfect 7-day Jordan itinerary covering Amman, Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba, with the best places to visit
Day 1: Amman
Arrive in Amman, the capital of Jordan.
Check-in to your hotel, relax a bit and head out o explore the local bazaar at downtown. Visit the Rainbow street and experience the local vibes and enjoy the Jordanian food and cuisine.
Day 2: Amman
Explore the historical sites of Amman on day 2.
Visit the Temple of Hercules and Umayyad Palace at the Amman Citadel. Witness the panoramic city views.
Head to the famous Roman Theatre and the Roman Nymphaeum. Get some cool pictures at the Ten Arches Bridge. In the evening visit some local cafes and restaurants and enjoy the Jordanian hospitality.
Day 3: Wadi Musa (Petra)
Take an early morning bus from Amman to Wadi Musa which takes around 3 hours.
Arrive and check-in at your hotel. Relax for a while and head out to explore the local town.
In the evening prepare to witness the beauty of Petra. Get the tickets for Petra at night and walk through the illuminated candles to reach the iconic Petra Treasury. Enjoy the traditional music, storytelling, and soft lighting.
Day 4: Wadi Musa (Petra)
Dedicate this day entirely to Petra. It is lot more than Treasury.
Start very early and explore the Siq, Treasury, Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, Great Temple, Qasr Al-Bint and Monastery.
Day 5: Wadi Rum
Leave Wadi Musa and head towards Wadi Rum to experience the out of the Earth terrains.
Check-in to a Bedouin camp hotel. Take a 4x4 desert safari tour, followed by a sunset and star gazing at night.
Day 6: Aqaba
Take a 1.30 hour bus from Wadi Rum to Aqaba.
If you love water adventures, then opt for snorkeling or diving experience at the Red sea and visit the coral reefs. Alternatively, you can explore the Aqaba Archaeological Museum and the Sharif Hussein bin Ali Mosque.
In the afternoon, visit the Aqaba Fort (Mamluk Castle) and walk around Aqaba's old town and traditional markets.
Towards the evening, explore the Ayla Marina and watch the sunset.
Day 7: Amman (Dead Sea)
Take an early morning bus from Aqaba to Amman, which will take around 3-4 hours. Drop luggage at your hotel, and take a shared taxi to the Dead Sea.
Spend the afternoon relaxing at and floating in the incredibly salty water. Towards the evening, head back to Amman and relax.
Day 8: Amman
If you have time before flight, then head to the bazar and do some shopping.
Take flight back and say goodbye to Jordan!
